Original records matter

Irish citizenship and passport routes often depend on civil records that match names, dates, and family links. Keep a clean document log and note every variation before submission.

Foreign public documents may need formal handling

Depending on where a record was issued, you may need certified copies, apostilles, translations, or notarised/witnessed forms before sending originals.

Route-specific waits are normal

FBR, passport, and naturalisation stages are handled by different teams. Track received, requested, decision, ceremony, and certificate dates separately.

Eligibility is separate from tracking

This tracker records timelines and costs. It does not replace legal advice or official guidance from the Department of Foreign Affairs or Immigration Service Delivery.
